Children and Youth Programs

We believe that God and the child have a unique relationship with one another, particularly before the age of six; that growth of this relationship should be assisted by the adult, but is directed by the Spirit of God; that children need their own place to foster the growth of that relationship; and that the child’s spiritual growth is best served through tangible but indirect means.

Our mission is to support catechists, parents, and others in the Church and beyond, as they grow in their understanding of the religious potential of children.

Christ Church Youth Group

Look at all the good work the Youth Group did at Feed My Starving Children! Congratulations on completing another school year! Christ Episcopal is excited to start youth activities again. Youth group is designed for all young people from 6th to 12th grade (whether you’ve been confirmed or not). We use the GroupMe app for news. We had a great time last summer!

  • We packed meals for Feed My Starving Children. The meals we packed at our Eagan, MN, location on were shipped to: LeSEA Global Feed The Hungry in Togo.

  • We also went to River Bluff Humane Society, right here in Red Wing, to perform service work.

We follow the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd curriculum for children 3-12 years old.

  • The relationship between God and the child is explored through presentations and activities.

  • The teacher encourages questions and guides the children in reflecting on how God is present in their lives.
